It's not so much the temp as it is the temp + water = ice. They work fine if it is dry, its when it snows, then melts, then freezes that causes the issue.

It happens if the door is open. Kept putting it into park regardless if I was in drive or reverse. The reason the door was open was because I couldn’t close it because the window was frozen in the up position and needs to lower slightly to clear the gasket on the body. This is a BMW thing...

Hey all - reviving this thread as this just happened to my gfs Supra yesterday. I was going nuts trying to drive it and it would put it in park (that's what led me here to the seatbelt trick). Anyway, I was warming the car up for a good 1/2 hour and the window would not budge. Finally learned...

I agree 2023 are nicer looking. However, the big issue with the 20 - 22s is the two-tone color. I've seen posts where people had them powder coated a single color and they look MUCH MUCH MUCH better.
