Hopefully not. Toyota's recent track record when it comes to bringing concept styling to production car has been pretty good IMO. The production Lexus LC stayed very faithful to the concept car and the production FR-S stayed pretty close to the concept also.

It does look a little chubby but possibly b/c the FT-1 was so long we're used to seeing its design stretched out on the concept. I still dig it and would buy this in a heartbeat if Toyota makes it look like this. Something tells me the front end won't be so radical tho.

Yea that's what im saying. If that is the production SFR why was it spied coming out of the M Test Center? Also I think the camo is making it look smaller than it really is.

I'm probably missing something but what does the S-FR have to do with BMW? Lets not forget this was seen coming in and out of the M Test Center in Germany. Besides I thought they axed that project?

It's hard to tell with all the ambient noise but there's a hint of a hybrid when he gets on the gas around the 30s mark. Though most of it could pass for a NA V6 i think. I'm not hearing spooling or other signs of FI.

I think this info originated from the Japanese Mag X. The said the engine could be shared by the next Lexus GS and LS which makes sense.

Agree. Even in the sales heyday of the last gen Supra, it didn't sell in high enough volumes that multiple power plants was justified.

Reliable is for sure a must for Toyota but the next iteration also has to live up to the Supra name and deliver us an engine as easily modded for big power as the 2JZ. Tall order for sure.
