I'm at 19k+ and I'm not quite ready to replace them. Some spirited driving, but a lot of highway/turnpike miles. It's the safest car I have for the highway. And, oddly, gets the best milage - by far.
Only long enough to get you off the lot. But for that brief moment. You see it. You start it. Then you turn onto the street. It's all there. "Also Sprach Zarathustra"
IF the screen is from a 2022 12 spkr system, it helps a LOT. How do you get to that screen? It looks like it has been removed from the car. Did it come from a '22? Or (pardon my ignorance) is it a plate on the unit somewhere? At any rate, our make is JBL and the model is NBT EVO HU? Oh...
I let it expire for too long I guess. But my problem is they can't find my radio ID using my VIN. They have asked for the make (JBL) and model (Whut?). Does anyone know the model in a '22, 12 speaker system? I have been loading my CDs onto a USB drive to be able to play them. But my wife...
I'm 69. Not the winner, but ups the average. I was deer hunting last Friday, fell asleep on a stool on a platform 15 feet up. One of the nurses commented to my nurse that "He's 69. He couldn't have been climbing up in a tree. . . . This is going to slow me down if my vision doesn't come...
I sold a 2014 Manual Corvette to switch to my '22 Premium. I am continually surprised at how well the automatic seems to anticipate a shift I would have made. On paper, the two look comparable. But - for me - you drive the Corvette (with some effort) but you wear the Supra. You feel more like...
Yes, I did go just for that reason. They were very nice about it and almost sounded like they were quoting you. While there I asked about adding a horn. NOOoo, it's not factory. Also advised against doing it myself as it might void the warranty. I guess if I want to honk at someone . . . I...
I haven't noticed this issue on my '22 3.0. It did have about 400 miles it when I took possession. It was transferred from out of state. But it has about 1,300 miles on it now and I haven't seen it at all.
Mine do this. In addition to what sounds like regular brake squeal, there is that sound like a car horn. Actually, I wish my horn was that tone and that loud. I have an appointment at the Toyota dealership to check it this morning. If they say anything different, I'll post it.
The electrical stuff I have done before. But I don't think I have the cajones to take the bumper off. I feel fairly certain I would screw something up and it would be higher on one side when I got it back together. If you run into the vision thing a lot, my dad had an optical shop make a pair...
As another old guy (Hey, we USED to look good) I would like some specifics. What is the item number at Amazon and how did you install it? Tell me you figured out a way to do it without removing the bumper cover.
Two questions: 1. Did you do this mod yourself? Can it be done without a lift? Can a moderately aware non-mechanic do it? (OK, that's three, but . . .). 2. Does a mod like this void the warranty? I have the impression Toyota is rather, uh stiff-necked about voiding the warranty.
