I'm still chasing a carbon RHD Cluster cover for ages and it's pretty much all I need to complete my build.. and no, the LHD one doesn't fit. Below is an image of what an LHD cover sitting on a RHD car looks like. Why Toyota/BMW didn't make this part of the dash symmetrical is beyond me.
Does...
I'll be honest, I just thought a) it was a really neat idea and b) looked better than what was already there. I don't think anyone has done and proper testing but at worst, it doesn't look like it could be worse than stock.
You literally named very viable alternatives.. just because you don't like them, doesn't mean they don't exist. Learn from Honda's Prelude: The MR2/Celica will likely be competing with that, not a fucking Porsche, lol.
Yeah, who knows. All I know is that it did pretty much nothing for me. The only thing that made an improvement is turning off the Rev Match function but its still pretty inconsistent. Maybe I should get the lines bled again at my next service just to see what happens.
This is the only thing I...
I've had the CDV removed from my Supra but I have no doubt it does.. something. Car manufacturer's tend to save money by removing things, not including them for no reason. I suspect its just a protection mechanism for the freshly minted i CaN dRiVE a MaNuAL crowd.. who in fact have no fucking...
I can't speak for how they drive, but I've seen some a few Z/Nismos and the general design/build quality has always left me wanting. The specs only make it worse. I have driven an M2 however, and I think calling it a little numb isn't unfair, but numb af may be a bit of an exaggeration. 😅
I love the bit where they say the Nismo Z will make a good review against the M2 in "driver experience." The guy is a clown for the Z and it will 100% lose against a quasi-discontinued Supra in pretty much every metric, let alone a full blown M car. 🤡
I think a miserly 5k for the rest of the world is a pretty low estimate though. Australia on its own will end up with around 1500 at last count. 🤷♂️
While I'm not advocating its accuracy, ChatGPT suggests 43,000 units total. I still think is low. I would suggest it's closer to 45-50k units total.
According to our AI overlords, the MKV look like it will end up having sold roughly 91% as many cars as the MKIV, but in only 80% of the time, for what it's worth.
I think you're going to be disappointed.
Think about this logically: Why would Toyota create a car that costs less than the outgoing Supra while having more power than it and also be better looking (Emira like). And if that's not enough, think about how marginal the hp increase between the MKIV...
Yeah. The problem is fighting for this in practice is going to be a massive pain in the ass. I did call Toyota Australia and made a complaint about it but they were as useless as always. I stand by what I said: The Toyota bit is literally the worst thing about these cars. If this was a BRZ/86...
