Haha, yeah - from what I've seen, it looks to be a decent wheel, but that size is just meh. 9.5" square is still far from ideal, and there's something else going on for $500 for those things. That's still a solid $2000 off from new, plus they're including tires? It's fishy at best.Yeah the tires are absurd. Ultimately I’d love to have my wheels stripped and cleared from an auto body shop. The finish under the factory pain on the OEM wheels are?
Main reason I want wheels is because I want silver wheels. Gold, black, white etc IMO just doesn’t look good on the renaissance red and I just so happened to stumble across these.
I feel like for $500 even if the tires are no good, don’t fit or whatever the case it’s a good deal for just the wheels themselves.
As for their claim it is quite gimmicky but I think that can be chalked up to poor advertising lol. It is quite gimmicky tho I agree.
Don't forget the old adage - if it sounds too good to be true...
As for your thoughts on putting cast wheels on to replaced forged being insane, it depends on the wheel, and your reasoning. You can get a great quality cast wheel (like Gram Lights or SSR) for a decent price, and if you're not planning on slamming curbs at the track, they'll stand up to just about anything.
Honestly speaking, everything about this setup is just a bad idea - the questionably-low price being at the top of the list.
