Hi all

So, I'm obv looking to buy a Supra, here in the UK. Looking at 2nd hand 3.0 pro, with low(ish) mileage; but I have some questions regarding which model/version to get.

So far, I'm considering a 20 or 21 version. There doesnt seem to be much difference between the 2 so happy to go with a cheaper 20 version. Also, I'd look to up the power and I'm aware that some of the 21's arent turnable thru the ecu. I like the look of tuning via the MKD system. Also looking at external mods too; and maybe downpipe

Colour isn't a massive deal, although as I currently have black FK2 Type R, I'd probably put that at the bottom. I do notice that some Supra's on the market have black wheels, which I prefer than the common blk/silver. Which version have those (other than the 2.0 Fuji version)?

I'd consider getting a ltd ed version, but guess theyve all gone.

I also see that rumours are for a manual version, and a GRMN version this yearl and wonder if to wait for those; althought if the manual uses a BMW box, Im not keen on that.

Any help is appreciate; and please, go gentle ;-)

To get black wheels stock, get the a91 or a launch 2020. Aside from that powder coating the stock silver and black wheels will yield the same result. Supposedly a manual coming for 2023 but the grmn doesn’t seem to have as much attention on it.
If you’re wanting to tune definitely the 20, 21 is lock aside from some unicorns but if you aren’t looking to tune the 21s horsepower bump is the way to go.

The 2020's have less oil consumption issues than the 2021's.

Doesn’t the UK version of the Supra have the same 2 port b58 as the 2020 Supra. I could be wrong but I thought their 2021s were still the same motors. So he may not have oil consumption issues. The black wheels that came with launch edition were essentially powder coated by toyota. Also 2021 is tunable just expensive to tune since you have to send to Russia to clone. Personally I’m still happy with my downshift blue. Was only made for 2020.

So some clarification, in the UK, they do not get the 6 port supra for 21/22, they are all 2 port 335hp ones, but I think that they may still have a locked ecu for 21, not much information on that, I have see lots of 2020 pro's ( our premium) with super low miles so I would save the money and go with that, also I think 21 cars are quieter in the UK as well, like in the U.S. Mod wise, a tune and downpipe will get you to 500 crank horsepower very quickly, efficiently and easily, and most importantly reliable, MHD Is a great software, and ECUtek is the best in the business and all the big tuners can remote tune you. For exterior mods, I would keep it simple, a set of light wheels always is a good option, but the stock ones can be powdercoated black like the special editions for I would say 5-700USD so give or take 100 pounds a wheel converted. H&R springs, a set of 12/15mm spacers and a carbon lip and maxton front lip and side skirts and you have a very good looking car.

I think youre pretty much spot on for what Im looking at. With my FK2 I tried to keep the exterior mods, subtle; and while the supras doesnt come with a full spolier, thats something I'd look to add. Things like lowering springs ar something I'd consider. If I can find one with black wheels that would be great, otherwise I'd get them powder coated full black.

The OEM plus looks works really well on this car, this is how I ran mine for a few months, PC wheels, spacers, sprigs, dp and ots tune, a carbon rear lip and I loved it, now the car is more heavily modified but this was an amazing look.

This is the car now, looks great but def more boy racer and less classy if I am being honest.

Looks amazing! What size tire are you running? 295 35 R19? And what is your rear wheel size, and offset? Sorry to bug you.. I'm having a hard time deciding on tires. My rear wheels are 19x11 +38 (flush spec)..but I cant decide on 305 30 R19, or 295 35 r19. Thanks.

Hey here are the wheel specs
19x9.5 +20

19x10.5 +30

for tires, I am currently running 295/35/19, but my 305/35/19's just arrived and will be swapped for those! I don't think I will have any issues running those, I had 305 nt05r radials which sucked cause radials suck, but now I just run Pilot super sports, not much traction with FBO e50 but at least it can handle
