I say if it's a non-critical item, such as something that's just for looks, save all the money you can.
Nobody's going to care where you got your adhesive carbon fiber bits to stick all over the interior of the car.
Why pay more?
It's the same reason I go to harbor freight to buy any tool that's doesn't absolutely have to be perfect.
