In a predicament, the basement in the house I was renting collapsed, obviously I was forced to move out and find a new place to live. I didn’t have much time and just had to hop on what was available. I used to have a garage for the Supra that protected it from the elements, now I live in an apartment with no garage. I was curious if anyone could recommend in your opinion the best all weather car cover. I really want one that’s good for hail, but I can’t find one anywhere. In the three years I’ve lived here I’ve never seen hail before but I just wanna make sure I cover all the bases.

For hail you'll need like a matt between the cover and your car.. and you're going to cover it up each time you hear a storm is heading your way? Depending on how often you use your car, is that even realistic.. to consider covering a wet car mid-rain with a car cover scratching grit all across the panels each time..

My daily drivers are parked out doors and have been hailed on.. got about 30 dents on my cars 2yrs ago which I PDR'ed out (I have the tools and training).. unless the car was covered long term like during Covid, I would just let it go and find proper parking ASAP.

This is why a car hobby starts with a proper garage.

And I agree, but this circumstance is pretty unique. The Supra doesn’t get driven at all once the roads get salted, the rest of the year I drive it maybe a couple times a week, it’s not my daily.

My car is parked outside all the time, and I got this one on amazon:

iCarCover 30-Layer Car Cover Waterproof All Weather | Premium Quality Car Covers for Automobiles, Ideal for Indoor and Outdoor Use, Fits Sedan/Coupe (174-178 inch)

Having had a few covers in the past, this one is surprisingly good. Of course, its only been a month, but it seems like it will last longer and provide more protection than the 'duck covers' I had in the past. The fit over the mirrors is a little tight, but works. The zippered door is useful when you forgot something in the car. The zipper isn't in exactly the right spot, but will work. I also like the integrated straps to tie it down. Otherwise it will flap around or blow off in the wind. My other cover didn't have that, so I had to attach some 3m command strip hooks under my car to tie the cover to.

Mirror closed (Its a little tight on the mirrors, have to pull a little to go over them)

Mirror open

Integrated Middle Strap

Integrated Rear Strap (There is also a front one, but its right at the wheel, so I don't use it)

Door slit

Takes a little finesse to move the cover off the mirror and generally maneuver it to open, but does work.

Closer view of the material. Pretty soft interior.

No chance of blowing off in a severe storm? Otherwise, love the door slits without having to take the whole damn thing off 👍

I would be shocked, the two straps seem pretty strong. My old cover stayed on pretty good with just a middle strap. I guess I could imagine the front lifting up. If you know there will be a bad storm, you could use the front strap by passing the strap through your wheels.
