Best Rear Tire Size?

What is the best tires for the rear of the A90 that will prevent me from slipping in 2 or 3 gear pulls?

Im using 295 30s toyos r888r. i used to slip in 5th. Those stock Michelin sucked. I think ima go to a 285 next time. It will fit better on the 10 inch rim. The 295s are fine but im at the lower limit on the width of the rim.

I am sorry if I missed it but the only size I can find the R888R is 285/35/19 not 30?
