Hello gents, this just came in the mail today and I had a few questions, apologize if they’re dumb.
1)is it okay to store it on the spare bed like this till install.
2) papers that came with the car emphasize that hood pins are required, are they really?
3) if you do have this same hood, which hood pins did you use and did you have any issues with the install of the hood/pins?

hood pins are always required with cf or glass hoods. you can do an aerocatch style latch if you don't want actual pins.

Personally I'd store it the other way up.

I have the exact same hood installed on my car. No hood pins with zero issues. Only gripe I have is the wiper fluid nozzles do not fit at all.

the best I did was using adhesive to make the nozzles stick. They will click into the nozzle openings but they don’t fit secure. Over a couple days they will fall out or will be hanging for dear life. This is my fix for now until I could find another solution.
and I haven’t had a need to use my wiper fluid yet lol.

I had the same problem with my hood, but if you take a dremel tool to those square cutouts and slowly sand them down to make slightly thinner lip, they'll click into place. Not all hood molds come out the same, so If the lip is too thick then the wiper fluid system won't be able to fully catch the lip which causes them to pop out.

Carbon hood, no hood pins and no issues up to 100 (I haven't gone any faster). Had some hood wobble on my passenger side at 80+, but raising the bump stop in the engine bay helped hold it right. I might eventually end up installing aero latches if my anxiety gets the better of me.
