Gents,
I have gone down the route of a catless DP with a L spacer, with no tune or JB4. I am using a OBD II to clear the codes regularly
The codes I am getting are the Sensor 2 heater issue and also sensor 2 reading rich and at times lean.

I have read conflicting reports that the downstream sensor ie sensor 2 does play a part in the fueling process. Can seniors here tell me if this sensor is indeed essential for proper functioning of the engine?

Also, there shouldn't be any harm by deleting those pesky codes every 2 days right?

( I will eventually tune it but not in the near future as yet)

I was in the same boat and did some research.
I found out that I could pay $1000 for AA catted downpipe that states no CEL codes are thrown or I could go catless with a tune.
I decided to go catless and have the JB4 with a MHD bef.
the Bef resolves the issue. The JB4 can’t legally clear the code which I think is bullshit. They are based in California however where people get stoned to death for failing emissions

Secondary o2 is emissions only. Other than the CEL it shouldn't make a difference, and I believe our ECUs are adaptive enough to handle any A:F ratio changes caused by the catless downpipe.
