Just wanted to ask if anyone else has seen this warning. Has come up twice now in a month. Stop the car and restart and the message clears and have full power again. Contacted dealer but they said unless it's showing the message they can't investigate it? Would have thought the fault would have been stored in the ECU?

Thanks for the confirmation, will go back to the dealer and try again. Both times it happened was accelerating in 3rd or 4th at only 3-4k revs and when changing up a gear the message comes up and I'm limited to 2k revs and 60mph max. For info it's a manual registered Nov '22. Bought it 2 months and the only thing changed on it was the charge pipe to a Whifbitz titanium one but can't imagine that's got any effect here?

It could cause that.. that is just a thing that pops up to let you know you have a logged code. Checked the logged code.

I jsut had same thing the past two days...... any info on what it could be? Each morning on cold start...

Sticking the car on charge over night in case battery related. Whifbitz exhaust and OPF delete harness and induction kit. Not remapped.

Ended up taking mine to the local dealer, they cleared a few fault codes, one relating to the exhaust. I'd changed my backbox to a Miltek one. Once they'd cleared the codes it never happened again. Would imagine it's related to the Whifbitz exhaust and OPF delete you've done. Dealer didn't charge at all :)

Fantastic thanks......
I cleared a load of codes in Bimmer code and stuck the battery charger on over night..... lets see if the magician bimmer link code clear does the job and saves me going to the dealers!

Thanks for the advice...... at least I can rest my mind a little easier over night!! Once you dig into a problem it just annoys you lol

Just an update on this, as I came across it and I like to clarify internet posts where I can!

Supra Steve's car did this again twice since then... (it's mine now) - have managed to capture the code and it is OPF related, it is resolved by turning the car on and off, but also should be handled by the OPF harness (not sure it has this fitted) or can be mapped out.
