For people who have used both 19" wheels vs 18" wheels during the Canadian winters, is there a discernible difference/benefit of going 18"? Thanks!

I'll preface this by saying I don't (yet) own a Supra but I drive an E92 M3 in the winter in Calgary, so I figured it's close enough.

I ran 18" instead of 19" this past winter and it convinced me to just stick with 18" year round.

I would say definitely downsize in terms of radius and width if you'll be driving in snow (but make sure it's still within 2-3% of the original OD). I've noticed a difference when taking off at stop lights. Plus, the extra sidewalls really help with ride quality, since Calgary is riddled with potholes and ruts in the road. The gravel and sand that they use in the winter definitely don't help either, lol.

I do agree that the fitment doesn't look as aggressive compared to 19s, but then 18 inch tires are cheaper and you'll have more selection esp. when it comes to winters tires.

Hi guys, i wanted to ask the guys who are driving all year in 4 seasonal areas if you guys drive in the snow with a sprIng drop? i got the euro spec eibach springs and millway camber plates as i wanted to dial the handling in for the street but im worried of subframe scraping. can anyone tell me if the underbody will clear speed bumpes etc?

I’m glad I stumbled onto this thread. I plan on buying a manual supra in the near future and live on the east coast of Canada (New Brunswick) and would like to drive the supra year round. I would have my Civic Si for really bad days and likely only drive the supra when the roads are clear. I’d like to downsize to 18’s, square, more sidewall, skinnier, and the best winter tires. I’ll also be getting it undercoated by Krown or Rustcheck, and doing the touch less car wash that sprays the under carriage.

I figure that should allow me to keep enjoying the supra for all 12 months instead of 7.
