Hello all,
I'm new to the forum, I just bought a '22 2.0 a month ago. I am testing all the features the car has, but I have a couple (actually more) of doubts regarding all the exterior lighting options, what they do and their activation from the key fob. I know they're "useless", but also cool
and I'd like to customize them as I wish. Sorry in advance for any mistake regarding which light is which, but in italian the names are simpler:
- the welcome light option works only when unlocking, or ALSO when locking the vehicle? I am asking this as in some BMW videos and forums I checked, this option is labelled as "Welcome and goodbye lighting", while on the supra it's Just "Welcome lighting".
- the functioning of the welcome light option depends on the activation of the pathway lighting option, or they are completely independent?
- basing on the user manual, if you press the lock button on the key fob while the car is already locked, both interior and exterior lights (just the DRLs, not the headlights) should turn on.
In my case, doing this the interior light turns on, but none of the exterior lights even if they should as all the exterior options are turned on. The thing I find strange is that, if I well remember, in the first 2 weeks this feature worked, and now not anymore. Have any of you tested it? Do I have to toggle any option or can it be a software problem?
