Has anybody here used a frostguard or similar cover for their windshield? I wake up at 5 for work and was looking into getting one of these for the upcoming months. No mention of it on the forums I believe. I want to get an idea of the effectiveness, sizing, et cetera

What happens when the frostguard gets frozen to your windshield?

That's what I was hoping to get insight into.... like if it was worth it...
IDK I spent 28 years in Minnesota growing up and in my experience if your shit is going to freeze it's going to freeze.

Freezing rain comes down? Congrats! You've got ice between your shield and on top of it as well.

Tried and true is just turn the car on a few mins before you leave, blast heat on the windshield defrost, hop in the car, hit your wipers, and you're off. Of course you can always use an ice scraper which might feel bad but it's plastic vs glass.

Honestly that thing sounds like more trouble than it's worth to me. Respectfully - are you new to cold climate winter? This sort of thing doesn't exist in real cold climates from what I've seen... sounds like a cash grab
