Heads up Display Apple Maps

Hey all,

Has anyone figured out how to code turn by turn directions (Apple Maps) on the Heads up Display/Instruments Cluster on the Supra. Works on BMW with idrive 7. Not sure if it can be done on Idrive 6.

No- just Apple Maps due to using Carplay.

Think the turn by turn directions appear on Google Maps when using Android Auto on idrive 7. Not sure about Waze.

As far as I know, you cannot code such a feature due to hardware limitations. But it's been done before with aftermarket solutions. Check this out >

That is cool video- thanks - exactly what I want. Managed to get full screen apple carplay but not turn by directions.

That isn't what's happening in that video. From the description:

"... then trying 2 navigation sistem at the same time !!!! One on head up display and one on navigation display "

So they're navigating with both Waze and factory navigation. Waze is not displaying on the HUD.

Some versions of iDrive 7 do support this, though, at least when using Apple Maps.
