HKS Carbon Intake owners

Hey guys

After much deliberating, I've now settled on wanting to get the HKS intake. As its Easter, its currently on offer for the whole kit including carbon airbox. For those of you who own one, is it worth the £650 extra for the airbox and if so, does it drastically affect the noise much.

If all you want is noise don’t get the box. If you want looks and slightly better performance get it

MST V2 is the best bang for buck out there; good noise and decent price. Also looks clean. I would personally reach out to @Extreme Power House for the best deal and he may have some other options as well!

I may be in the minority on this one but I love the look of the exposed filter over the box. I do have this setup and I will say the mushroom filter is noticeably louder than a cone filter on this setup (ran both).

I like the looks of the box. I can barely hear it though.

There are better intakes out there for sound and performance.

yes the box affects the sound obviously and I can barely here it when it covered by the box but when the times come to replace the filter mesh, you need to remove the box so it takes time. I’m HKS fan so I would recommend you to buy it ?

Got the intake as well as FTP charge pipe installed a few days ago. Now it makes the noises I was hoping for. It sounds glorious

hey I see that you’re running the dry (green) filter. Is there a reason you chose the dry one vs the wet one?
