hey I see that you’re running the dry (green) filter. Is there a reason you chose the dry one vs the wet one?
dry green filter comes with 3-layers and it’s recommended for dusty environments like here in Qatar 🇶🇦, while the wet red filter comes with 2-layers and designed for maximum airflow but tbh I didn’t notice any differences in performance & and should be suitable for less dusty environments.

dry filter is the way to go. unless u want to keep re oiling it. even then wet filter isnt too great on modern cars. Oil can get onto the sensors after the filter. modern cars are especially sensitive.

its the other way around. wet better for filtration especially for dust. dry better for airflow and filtration isnt as fine as wet.

whats the link for? its saying what the filter does. We are talking about wet vs dry filter. wet filter is better vs dry filter is what im saying. both wet and dry does the same thing but one has better flow vs better filtration
I think the dry is 3 Layers and the wet is 2 layers

Does the red filter not come pretreated? You have to oil it? I would think when it’s time to re-oil it, you would just replace the filter

im dumb i had it backwards LOL
dry filter better filtration but less airflow
wet filter less filtration but more airflow
modern car is sensitive to wet filter so dont overoil the filter. but oil still will get sucked in one way or another with wet filter

Since you’re in SoCal, which one are you running?

Hey guys

After much deliberating, I've now settled on wanting to get the HKS intake. As its Easter, its currently on offer for the whole kit including carbon airbox. For those of you who own one, is it worth the £650 extra for the airbox and if so, does it drastically affect the noise much.

I just purchase the HKS intake with the box and replacing my MST V2 I live in Fl an enclosed box does keep the IATs down compared to MST. Do you like the HKS intake so far ?
