Got my car back from a stereo shop and they reset a bunch of stuff. And now the entire 3 hour drive home it kept freaking out every time I crossed a painted line or lane.

Can someone tell me how to turn that off.

Ok. I guess I should have read the book a bit before asking. That feature is a nuisance for sure.

You can also go into iDrive and disable individual features
I turned off lane keep but kept blindspots and collision mitigation

If you use your turn signal, it doesn't try to force you back into your lane.
I know, I know. These are BMWs. ?
Also, I've been trying to find a way to disable driver assist permanently. So far, no luck. It sucks having to turn them off every time you start the car.
Hold down the button. Done.
Hold down traction control. Done.
Put in Sport mode. Done.
Finally can drive.
God damned pre-fight checklist.

Weird, I deactivated mine the day I collected it new, and never had to reset again, it just links to your driver profile and remembers the setting, same as like how sensitive do you want the blind spot monitor.
You know it works as when you turn the car on the little button close to the e-brake button will be orange instead of green.
It's annoying as orange makes you think of a fault, but it just means that not all safety features are on, so that's "bad" in theory, yet, ironically I was almost killed by the "lane assist" so I feel much safer with it permanently 100% off.

If it still doesn’t work like for me, you have to activate and deactivate it again :s
I’m with ya. I have to do the @kaj pre flight check list when I takeoff. It just won’t stay off no matter what I do in the setup screens ?

It's weird. I could SWEAR I set something so that it stayed off...
But then I reset the battery. Maybe the car updated.
Or maybe I just thought it was off.
All the stuff we can code out, but not this. ??

Are you talking about the line assist and what not?

A bad or unplugged ABS sensor disables everything including ABS

Yup this. I’m with @kaj on this one. I’ve turned it off many of times in the settings. Sometimes it stays. Most of the time it doesn’t. So, I just do the @kaj pre flight checklist, good to go ✈

That’s strange maybe check out a Toyota dealer if there is an update for the software available.

I deactivated the steering assist and the checkbox was empty but it still tried to kill me when there was a road construction or similar.
But activating and deactivating again disabled it.
So deactivate the checkbox, activate and deactivate again should work :D
