I'm relatively new to the car community when it comes to performance mods however I know what they are. This would be my first time doing a car build, so I was looking for suggestions and tips for the supra. I have a 2021 however I know they changed a few things around in the engine (not sure exactly what). Currently I am looking for a downpipe as first mod but I don't plan on getting a tune anytime soon as I want to slowly accumulate parts overtime so I'll need one that can run without a tune. I was looking towards the boost logic downpipe as I like how it sounds however I still want to pass the tests and inspections required without always having to re-install the stock part (if there is another downpipe I should get instead please let me know). If anybody could help or give advice it would be much appreciated. If there is another mod or part that I should go for first instead, I am always open to suggestions.

If you’re talking about emissions, I would suggest you get a Downpipe with a high flow GESI cat. Active Autowerks and AMS both make these types of down pipes which are legal in 49 states.

I highly suggest getting a tune along with your Downpipe to get maximum benefit out of the part. Something about running an aftermarket down pipe, in the long term, on a stock tune doesn’t rub me the right way :dunno:.

Personally I wouldn’t go beyond an intake and catback exhaust if you aren’t planning on tuning anytime soon. I’d collect most of the important parts, install them all at once, and then tune it all together to get the maximum benefit. Just my 2 cents.

I recommend checking your local laws to see if a catted downpipe is even legal there. In some places, it's not even if it does not throw any check engine light

If it's legal, I recommend you get the Active Autowerke catted downpipe. It comes with no CEL guarantee, flows just as much as the regular 200 CEL catted, and priced very reasonably
