As stated above, I'm trying to figure out what items I will need to do basic stuff at home (changing wheels/tires, brake pads, etc) that might differ from previous cars I've owned.
I'm already looking at jack pad and jack stand adapters. Does anyone have specific recommendations? I've seen metal jack stand adapters that you bolt on as well as rubber ones that slip over. Is it advisable to get the bolt on type as they should be more secure?
Do we need a special tool for spreading the calipers? I've got a simple spreader, do I need a tool to turn the pistons too?
Anything else I might want/need?
