New Toyota Emblems for Hood and Rear

I did not like the standard Toyota emblems for the hood and rear so I made these.

As the basis for the emblems, I took off the stock emblems and used them. I peeled off the top of the emblem, which left a flat, black oval piece of soft plastic. I covered this with di noc 3M carbon fiber pattern vinyl. For the logo itself, I ordered logos on ebay and painted them with krylon textured black spray paint.

Have you tried covering the badges instead of taking them off? I was thinking of using these overlays.

cheap junk - If you are going to do it, do it right

The Ebay logo looks like it just came out of the oven. Why not get a genuine Toyota one to paint black?

You seem to have a lot of carbon sticker. Have you tried just a black logo directly on the bumper and deck lid?
With all that black, it looks like there is a hole in the front and back of the car.
Or how about wrapping the logo with the carbon sticker?

I've had this planned all along, but had to wait till toyota change my cracked emblems.
I dont know how to feel about it yet,
but "it's different" and could "fool" people who really dont know the car or where the supra comes from haha.
(as an homage to the old toyota logo)

it was $7.50 per emblem, but he had to order my materials because it was a specific one i wanted. other than that it came pretty quick once shipped. i think hes based on Florida.
