Just posting this in case someone does the same thing as me. I went through freshly paved road, so there was a bunch of tar deposits on my front bumper. I used Gyeon's tar remover (it's great!), but then it did this to my emblem.
Gladly there's an easy fix if your emblem looks like this. Just get some light polish, apply on a microfiber towel and rub. I wouldn't use compound, because it might be too abrasive. After rubbing with the polish, just wipe off and add ceramic coat, or a good ceramic spray coat. After doing that, it'll look like this:
