Dropping this here for some ideas on how to solve this problem.
I'm looking to replace a cracked and now partially missing (blown tire on the highway was kicked up) front lip with the same exact lip just brand new, with no pre-existing mounting holes.
The trick is: What's the best way to match the currently existing holes in the bumper to the new "blank canvas" front lip?
I'm thinking I could make a template with a big sheet of poster board. Or maybe leave a wooden dowel in each hole in the bumper and apply some chalk or paste as means to mark the lip.
Anyone have any better ideas? I want to avoid drilling a whole new set of holes if possible. The prior lip was mounted extremely well.
