Software Issue?

Man I love this car! So much fun to drive.

However,

The software in this thing is trash IMO. I've been told I have way too much patience...the software in this Supra is changing that!!

1. If I hit the options button on the selection dial...I cannot check off the Split Screen. It was on just a few minutes before. I unchecked to see what it looked like...and now it won't let me check it to turn it on.

2. I can't get the Total Range, Consumption and Average speed and average consumption to show on the instrument cluster. I have it checked off on the Onboard info options.

3. As I've posted before. Toyota told me to take it in and get a Firmware update because the Toyota Supra Connect wasn't working. Did that and the Tech after an hour on the phone with Toyota found out it didn't need a firmware update.

Anyone else have these issues?

I've searched the forums and didn't find anything. Sorry if I have missed a post about any of these issues.

Would disconnecting the battery reboot the Software?

To get total range, consumption etc on the cluster display you need to hit the BC button on the turn signal stalk. its at the end. press it to cycle through options and hold to reset trip info.

Maybe the issue is that you have a 2001 model year?

Alrighty...fixed the Split Screen issue I was having.

Found it watching this video:


I Noticed they did the split screen option while in their Navigation application.

Tried it on the Supra and it worked!

I take everything back about it the Supra software being trash. LOL!

Anyway...thanks for all the help! This site is great!!

I can get most of the computer stuff to work most of the time… I think that equals success in today’s modern computer driven cars.
