Supra wing comparison

I have been in the same situation before. I was considering adding a ducktail since it is way cheaper and no need to drill any holes on my trunk. And then I find out a few problems of them

1. All of them only have okish quality and fitment. They are ok if you see it from distance but once you take a closer look, you can always see little flaw and bubble in it.

2. They might not fit with a bigger wing. I know I always want to get a big wing it just matter of time, so I eventually skip the ducktail and just bought a verus ucw wing.


So far I did not find out durability or fitment problem. The quality compare to ducktail is day and night, you really get what you pay for ($300 vs $2000).

Performance wise, since I dont have a front splitter to balance the massive rear extra downforce, I just keep the rear wing angle set it to the smallest downforce setting, I feel like the car is a little bit more stable on the highway especially in 90+mph. If I become a track junkie, I would definitely add a front splitter.

Any regrets? Not at all, it is a bit pricey for me but I think it is a good investment for the look and performance. And you will get a great outdoor dining table and chair =)

Artisan Style ducktail I sell, for sub $200, best fitment and personally look I think you can get on these cars. I've run it on both my supra's now.

Yo! Considering adding a wing to my Supra. What did you guys get? Anyone regret installing their wing? Anyone having issues with durability or fitment? MAYBE there is a wing that cuts back on performance ?? Gimme some deets

Seibon TD wing. I love it! I was looking at the cheapo wing from a certain influencer...glad I waited. Seibon randomly called me and let me know they had one. And I lucked out and grabbed it.
I spent a day working on getting it perfectly aligned which is hard on this car. In the end I used my thumbs and drilled the b in with my thumbs as the guide. It's been on for 2 years now. No issues.

Love it and wouldn't swap it.

Just commenting on my experience, but I wouldn’t get an APR wing again. I bought the GTC-500 and it looks fabulous at first, but in my case the finish got beaten to hell and it looked awful after about a year. I do track my car a lot, so maybe it’s more vulnerable to stone chips than a car which is street driven, but the clear coat on that wing was far too fragile in my opinion and I eventually had to get it repainted, thereby eliminating the carbon fiber look entirely.

Maybe when I go to wrap it never really put much thought into it honestly. Colour scheme is pretty much going away completely though. Got SSR Sp1's coming sometime later this year in spectrum silver, still deciding on colour for the rest of it. Have it narrowed to like...5 choices which may grow or shrink between now and once the new wheels go on
