I was actually surprised at how subtle adding this downpipe was with the stock exhaust as well, which may be a benefit for some.
Agreed, a lot of people don't want something that will attract too much attention, with the valves closed the AA sounds stock, with them open (especially after about 1500 miles of driving) it opens up nicely, but not anything that will get cops harassing you, no smells, no obnoxious bangs etc. It is a good option for some people who are looking for an OEM+ mod, or want to "stage 2" without added smell or much noise. A CBE really does wake it up tho. My buddy has the AA catted with the AWE track and the sound is awesome, about as loud as my Touring Resonated catless but smoother and more refined.

Yeah, I'm running the AA catted with AWE track myself. It really is a nice combo. Surprisingly not bad cruising at highway speeds either, but my tolerances are high. Does your buddy track their car, by chance? Get kicked out of anywhere for breaking noise limits? I have absent at the track this year due to having another kiddo, but I have a trip to NCM coming up and am worried about hitting the noise limits. I guess I need to pull out the sound meter...

He does not track, but in Florida, at least any of the local tracks, they do not have any noise limits.
