Whining noise when accelerating

Recently got this whining noise coming from my engine bay, can be heard starting to whine when accelerating around 3.5k rpms, this noise is constant every time i get under load and to better describe it would sound like a supercharger. Drives find while crusing doesnt whine at all, just when i get under load or press down on the throttle hard. Anyone know what could be causing this noise, or had this problem before?
