Different material, higher quality, and better mounting solution. Cost reflects the attention to detail on these.

CF vs HPDE vs rubber.. rubber seems like the ideal choice here

If it’s not the rock guards, check the wheel well for rubber. I’ve personally seen many with marks on the fender when the hood is lifted. Whole thread on it somewhere when lowered.

My hood/"Fender" paint is GONE from rubbing, lol.
