Are stock intakes better than cold air intakes?

I have the Injen EVO 2300, but the AFE Takeda and AMS are also the same basic design.

I’m pretty uneducated on this subject, my JB4 says I’m running about 73F-75F does that sound right?

That does not sound right, unless it's really cold where you are.

Is this at Load? And is this in Fahrenheit or Celsius?

When fully warmed up and driving calmly (IE: not during or immediately after a WOT pull), our IATs typically sit about 20-30F warmer than ambient. So those temps would only make sense if your car hadn't warmed up yet or it was <50F outside.

A 20-120 mph pull with the stock intake manifold will heat the IATs up WAY more than 8 F. Unless maybe this is the pre-turbo intake temp? I've never logged that so I'm not sure what its behavior is.

Pre-manifold intake charge temps are easily 200F+ on a single gear pull. This is the delta I keep talking about.

Unless I'm mistaken, that's post-turbo, pre-intercooler. Mine hits nearly 400F there, I can't imagine the pre-turbo intake temps being anywhere near that high unless driving through an active volcano.

Yea on track I have seen 350-390F. We don't have a temp sensor pre-turbo, unfortunately.
