Seems there was a $1500 rebate in April on the MKV, and $750 in May. I'm currently waiting delivery on a 3.0 Premium (put a deposit down in May) and am afraid I'll lose my $750 rebate once the clock strikes June. Thoughts?

I'm in management at a Toyota store. There's no official answer until June. Additionally, incentives vary region to region. That being said supply vs demand is in full effect and there's less and less inventory available across the board.. I wouldn't be surprised if rebates were reduced for all models in June.

Should you lose the rebate it shouldn't be too hard to hold your dealer to the fire and get them to eat the rebate from the front end profit depending upon how your deal was negotiated up front.

Thanks for the insight hotsauce! I'll talk to my sales guy today. My car has been sitting at the local railyard for the past 24 days waiting for a truck. I'm in the northern Chicago burbs...have you guys had the same problem getting cars to the dealership in that last mile?

Sounds like your car is stuck at loadline at your local vehicle processing center. Cars get held there for a varying number of reasons... sometimes it's availability of any port installed options. That being said those are very minimal on the Supra.. not much more than CF mirror caps available for port installed options.

Not to make you worry too much but I have seen vehicles held at VPC due to build and/or transit damage... hopefully not the case but any competent sales manager should be able to give you a solid answer. Don't rely on your sales guy for accurate info here. :)

Most likely nothing to worry about, you're just at the mercy of your local distributor and whatever their transit situation looks like. I'm in Texas under the 5 state Gulf States Toyota group. Typically once I see a vehicle hit loadline the unit arrives within a few days.. that being said the trip from Houston to Austin is pretty short. Not sure specifically what the Chicago region is like but I'd imagine it's similar.

I'm in Lake County and can confirm that there was a 1500 rebate in April when I bought my '21.

The dealer did not want to budge on the price off of sticker (except that rebate.)

For my zipcode (New England) looks like there is no longer any rebate on the GR Supra.

Sucks.

Yeah, looks like they removed the $750 incentive that was there in May. I pulled the trigger on May 29...whew.

Bruh incentives are gone. Good luck getting any deals on cars rn. There aren't even hardly vehicles in the lots where I'm at.

Yeah, I ended up pulling the trigger in May, so I got the $750 rebate. Ended up getting a nitro yellow 3.0 Premium with driver assist (MSRP $57105) negotiated down to $51,399. Can't wipe the smile off my face from driving the car all weekend!

The only bright spot for me is my used car went up $8K between early May and early June using Vroom. So if I have to pay more for a Supra I am okay with that. I just sold my Camaro for $8K more than I paid for it out the door brand new not even a year ago.

Very crazy market.

I don’t want to sell my Supra, but I did check the price on Zoom and their offer was $3k above what paid new in December. Of course, I bought with the benefit of a $1,500 rebate.

I work at Toyota manufacturing. Our rebates/ discounts are usually amazing and we have very strong pull with the local dealerships. Right now, it's all out the window. We got emails stating our employee pricing and discounts are up to the dealer to honor any of it. We are 30000 vehicles behind production. Yes, 30,000 not a typo haha

Yes most Toyota dealers near me have 20-40 new vehicles on the lot. They usually have 150-300.

Think about that, if your a large volume dealer who usually sells 2-3 times more vehicles a month than you are now, it eats into your volume discounts and incentives. With Supra having record monthly sales the last couple months combined with dwindling inventory and no factory incentives it's looking bleak for buyers. Dealers just don't have much incentive to take much off MSRP.

So realistically when will the 2022 models roll off the line, Q1 2022?

I'm curious to this as well... Yesterday in the press release, they mentioned they will be hitting dealer lots fall of this year, but given the current situation with shortages and production backlogs, that doesn't look too likely.
