Hood vent samples

I'm also in on a group buy if/when these go for sale. One question: Are they functional? I know it doesn't pass straight through to the engine compartment, but if you look at the underside of the hood there are a few holes and a channel that leads directly to these vents. I don't know what's inside of that channel however. I can take pics if anyone is having a difficult time visualizing what I'm talking about.

I recall seeing a video where the poster removed the factory plugs and it showed a decrease in temps so I would imagine they are functional (heat was routed through the hood "piping").

That said, the supra has the front center grill blocked presumably because they were getting too much cooling (or so I read) so not sure if overheating is an issue but I guess I can't hurt to have some venting.

Is the plastic resistant to UV fade/deterioration?

what makes me upset is many people think plastic parts should be cheaper than CF parts but CF parts has worse fitment and very low developping cost,I am not telling you guys our hood vents will sold with higher price than CF vents but I think they have no comparability,CF parts can never developped with clips struction.

These look like what the OEM should have looked. I like it better than the CF versions w/ the wire mesh.

not ready now,its just a 3D print sample,we will work on the injection mould and it will cost us 2 months,after that,we need test fitment and do some small adjustment

we use same material as BMW factory,I think you don't have to worry about the plastic lifetime
