I was on that forum since the beginning and was sold on the Z as my new car, since it's taking too long and a few things let me down, I came over here and just put a deposit down on a manual 23 supra. So it's not all bad

I've been on the Z Forum since January when I put an order in for one. Still have one on order but may cancel (deposit is refundable). The lack of roll stiffness (based on the Smoking Tire video) and a fairly low top speed in 2nd has me pretty worried (I'm an autocrosser). We'll see how the reviews go on May 16th when the embargo is lifted.

I've now also put a deposit to be first in line at my dealer to do a factory order on a 23' Supra 3.0 Premium MT. Really hoping that they did make some meaningful suspension changes to the car as the Supra is also quite soft in transitions.

The dealer said you can make an order? Usually the cars are allocated and cant be ordered. You should double check, I feel they are being "Dealers" doing anything to make a sale.

Yup, dealing directly with the GM who I know and bought a car from in the past.

To be clear, as of right now I'm only on their waiting list (first in line) with a deposit placed. He's told me that as soon as Toyota Canada opens factory orders I need to specify my color and options and he'll place the order for me, at MSRP.

Not sure if it's different in Canada vs. USA.

Correct, I believe SF was independently owned for the longest time. However, traffic really slowed down over the past couple of years. The owner was forced to sell to keep the lights on. Autoguide aka VerticalScope took over and made things even worst.
