We are gonna begin making them as well soon, just not a fan of selling airbags for liability reasons.

Very interested.

What do you mean “selling airbags”? I’m assuming it’s not a direct swap (Z4 airbag) or?

it is, it is a oem bmw airbag with a cover over it for the stitched look, I just don't trust where some of these company's get the airbags, I would make sure we get them from a reputable OEM supplier. I do not want to be responsible for a non OEM or rebuilt airbag not going off. That is the reason I stayed away from this conversion for so long. I've been selling Z4 and M340 wheels for as long as supra wheels. Obv market demand means I have too, but just something to keep in mind.

This is has been my favorite wheel I’ve made to date, a little more oem+ But still stock airbag and stuff.

Unfortunately, it's the ugly, oversized plastic airbag cover that's 91% of the problem with the OEM steering wheel. After that, there's 7% in the ugly, needlessly thick lower spoke. Everybody's touching only that last 2% because it's the easy 2%. Not that I blame them (or you).

Toyota noticed, though! For 2023, it seems the ugly, needlessly thick lower spoke has optional out-of-place aluminum-coloured trim instead of the gloss black trim we've been stuck with so far!

Thanks, Toyota.

Can't really change the lower spoke when that's where the vibration unit is housed.

Oh, TIL. Thank you.

I can see why it makes sense to put it there, but personally I'd rather have the vibration motor inline with the column and use a bit more power for the sake of having my steering wheel not look like shit.

Gorgeous. May have to get something just like this (switch the chopped carbon fiber for standard weave)…

Damn. I WANT THIS. The same material and color scheme (A91 blue stitching) but with regular CF instead. Is that possible?

Why not get the G29 Z4 msport steering wheel? Functions are largely a match with the Supra, IND says it’s plug and play. I prefer full leather too.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. Seems like it would be easier to buy an OEM G29 wheel and then figure out what to do with the logo. Looks like it’s offered around $850 or so: https://www.bmwpartsnow.com/oem-parts/bmw-steering-wheel-329052-only-32302462905?origin=pla&gclid=CjwKCAjwnZaVBhA6EiwAVVyv9NvC23wVyBwBCLVVi7Ra4X8cx41J5snjopZivulQcOFYjDZbc04yXxoCoDAQAvD_BwE

That is for the wheel only. No buttons, electronics, trim or the airbag. I priced it out to do it myself and its about $2k for everything straight from BMW
