give it a few monthesI can’t believe how much 911’s are still inflated in price. There are 100k (CDN) 997’s around me that 2 years ago were 50k tops.

Good idea. You’ll look super poor and people will start feeling so sorry for you.I can’t believe how much 911’s are still inflated in price. There are 100k (CDN) 997’s around me that 2 years ago were 50k tops.
I’m going with a Supra instead of a 911 so my staff doesn’t ask for more money when I drive it to the office ?
I already have a sign made for the window: “will drop pants for food”Good idea. You’ll look super poor and people will start feeling so sorry for you.
A slight tangent, but what made you decide to switch from the Alfa to the Supra? I'm actually cross shopping a QV against a Supra and a few others right now. I prefer coupes over sedans, but being able to bring the whole family along is a huge plus for the Alfa. The new M3 is hideous, and the new AMG still isn't out.
As for the 911 vs Supra, I had a 997.2 C4S, but sold it before driving a Supra. From memory, the two standout differences for me were that the 911's visibility was superior, and that when cornering fast there is a particular sensation of rotation (not over steer) that you get in a rear or mid engine car that you don't get in front engine cars. For me, that feeling alone was almost worth the price of admission. It's very unique. I agree with the others, though, that you can get 82% of the performance at half the price. That's the law of diminishing returns in action.
I loved my Alfa... Probably more than the M/AMG cars I've owned. But, I had it for 3.5 years and it was just time for something different. Also, I was lucky and had zero reliability issues, but I guess I didn't want to press my luck out of warranty. But I highly recommend it.A slight tangent, but what made you decide to switch from the Alfa to the Supra?
Smooth & nice line! Top it off, doesn't even look like you're pushing her that hard... And I bet your consumables are a lot cheaper than that GT3. I remember the rotors, pads, tires being really expensive. That was years ago. Maybe they're cheaper now, but I doubt it.
Money per lap times the Supra wins easily.
money per fun is subjective but the 85% is pretty spot on. I still want a GT3 or GT4 clubsport
Thanks for the reply. I've read from a lot of owners that the reliability issues are overblown, but I'm with you on owning it after the warranty period... would just make me nervous.I loved my Alfa... This sounds like a solid plan, but I feel like giving each of them a cookie could also work???Good idea. You’ll look super poor and people will start feeling so sorry for you.
Must be nice to be good looking..I already have a sign made for the window: “will drop pants for food”
The hell man, is this GT3 FWD or something equally stupid?
