not sure. i keep hearing conflicting replies on this topic from both the media and forum members on here that claim to know some corporate insiders. One view was MY2023 is the last year, which would be a shame.
No way 2023 will be the last year. If anything the new manual may extend this into a long run...if they sell. They'll eventually drop M3 motors in them for the grand finale. But that's just my opinion, of course.

By the current automobile industry standards, NO OFFICIAL confirmation of anything will be made until the announcement of last year production so enjoy what you have now because when its gone, it will be missed.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have no insider information but I think you may be right. And I don't see a GRMN release (other than maybe in Japan) or a future "Toyota" engined Supra either. It just makes no fiscal sense.

Perhaps the closest to what I he@rd from the insider overseas, in the far east. Japan only exclusive as the last Oorah give it a go.

Something we don't get. Private press meeting with Mr. Tetsuya Tada for an open mic session.

Maybe for the USDM. Europe until 2024, Japan until 2025 with the very special model. Don't quote me for it... What do I know.. :dunno:

If this SO-CALLED, "Heritage edition" aka GRMN featured at SEMA by non other than TOYOTA, and Targa gets a "GO" by Toyota, it won't be for USDM, but rather the "Final Edition" for Japan only 2025. Again, nothing concrete.
Just... I know someone who knows someone who then heard from someone..LOL

Just intake this as an "Entertainment" purposes only shall we? šŸ™ˆšŸ™‰šŸ™Š

sorry, I just donā€™t believe the talk that MY23 will be it. NA is arguably the biggest market for these cars, and neither BMW or Toyota are in the business of leaving money on the table,

Nearly all BMWs have 7 year product cycles, and they and Toyota would have inked a contrast with Magnus Steyr about start and end of production. Even if for some reason Toyota foolishly wanted to take the car away from us, Magnus will build out every last car they can until that contract runs out.

I doubt they would have spent so much time and money to throw a manual in for one year if 2023 was the last year.

Hopefully reviewers will get to release their 2023 videos in the next week or so once the embargo is lifted.

I completely agree, it would be a very strange move.

And this too.

I can't argue against those points.. of course, stupider things have happened before so who knows.

Just watched this video of a MY23 MT doing some laps.

Interesting to see the gear displayed in the middle of the rev counter and the same lame shift lights are in operation - thought they might've improved these for the manual release. šŸ˜ž

And it all sounds a bit pedestrian too, although I got the impression this guy was pretty much babying it the entire time, so who knows..

Something to tide us over till that embargo lifts!

I donā€™t hear any pops or bangs when he lifts off throttle. It it because the car is a manual? That an auto thing? Thatā€™s a big reason I like the Supra. I guess. Time will tell.

No pops or bangs in a '23 would ALMOST be reason enough to trade my '22...I have the exhaust flap permanently open but have all settings in Sport except Engine to minimize the off-throttle BANGS! I get that many people like them, but it would be smart of manufacturers to offer a way to completely turn off the crackles/bangs without resorting to an aftermarket tune.

I'm most interested in suspension tuning tweaks on the '23s and (if they actually meaningfully improve handling) whether any can be easily applied to my '22.

I have the 2023 but unfortunately canā€™t really give you guys any details as far as the differences since this is my first Supra. The suspension feels nice and tuned though. I know some people were complaining about the speaker system in the prior models but mine sounds pretty good imo.
