Finally upgraded tires, conti extremecontact sports 295/35r19. stocks lasted about 11k miles but my alignment is apparently off so the inner part was worn all the way down already. Gonna take it in for an alignment tomorrow. These actually hook and let me launch the car finally though which is nice.

Meh. I'd say you've done enough. I just like being able to open the trunk from the outside, without the keys being in my hand.
There are basically two situations when you need in the trunk:
1) Park somewhere, get out of the car, go to the trunk to grab something before locking the car and walking off.
2) Walk up to your locked car, go to the trunk to put something in, then get in and drive off.

The current state of this button only helps with #1, and in that scenario you can just use the button on the driver's door instead. #2 would still require you to pull out your keys to unlock the car before this button would work, at which point you might as well just use the keys to open the trunk. Adding the keyless entry extension would let it work for both, I think that's pretty crucial.

Nah, I leave my keys in my car a ton and lock/unlock from my app so there are a lot of different scenarios

also when my car is in my driveway and I'm loading or unloading

when I park my car it's unlocked a lot unless I'm in the hood

Probably one of the few who coated stock wheels in gloss black. I like it. And given that boopra is my daily, they won’t shine that much anyway.

Looks great!

Did you go the Hyperdip route? I bought one of their kits and haven’t done the spraying yet.

Nope, went for powder coating. It was a same-day service, which still amazes me, but lots of happy clients there. The guy who runs the place said he did about 50 supras already and probably >1000 teslas.

It looks like a different take on PlasticDip that's better formulated for wheels. I want to try a different color on the wheels to make sure I like it before I go the powdercoat / paint route. I do like the stock wheel design, but the chrome bits isn't my style.

As soon I get the car, that's the first thing I'm going to do :)

I leave my keys in the car at the track and autocross. I like to walk up and open the back without going around to the door, especially if I have stuff in my hand.
We're not saying everybody needs a button on the trunk, but some of us could really use it.
This is the first car I've owned that didn't have the option. For me, it's a hassle.

... And probably every one of them was black ..? 😁

Driving home from work, I whipped around an a-hole crossing a double yellow line with no blinker on. I did punch it a little as I took off ... FART FART FART!!!! Notice an SUV chasing, but I'm not a street racer in NoVA, just trying to get home before the dog wets himself. Pull off the my exit, the SUV is a cop. Pulls up next to me and rolls window down. I do the same. "Beautiful automobile! She moves!" I can't help but smile and say "Thank you officer...... i love driving her." He smiles back and says ..... "Just a little slower. Have a great day."

I'm continually stunned at how many people see this car and it makes them smile.

Got the Verus brake cooling kit and Verus master cylinder brace in today. The brace should be quick, but probably gonna talk to Seattle's BMW guru to get the cooling kit installed during the track off-season (no time due to other commitments for me to install)

This is how things should be. Where I come from, this story would've ended with a massive fine and "Lols. 30 day impound."

I really went back and forth on it. I could throw another $1000 at it and have bought an intake manifold. But if I'm going to take the top off of the motor, I want to do cams at the same time, and to do the cams I need to be able to lay a tune down on the ECU, which I won't do until something is available here in the US. The SPL stuff was next on my list after that stuff. I hope Mega 3 isn't lying about what they've come up with. Spoiler alert: They probably are. JUST ONE MORE WEEK
You don't open the motor to put the intake manifold in. You just take the old intake manifold off. It's a super easy process, and it's on the other-side of the head.

Oh I know, but if I'm going to pay a shop to do one, I'm just going to have them do both while they're in there to save some money.

What I'm saying is, it's "not in there." You won't save money. Two completely separate installs. You don't remove the intake manifold to get to the cames.

That won't save you any money. You don't have to remove the intake manifold to install cams and you don't have to remove the valve cover to install an intake manifold.
