Cotton for glass, especially exterior glass. The rough surface of exterior glass pulls fine polyester strands from microfiber cloths. Microfiber is softer than cotton, but that doesn't matter for glass because glass is so much harder than both of them.
Surgical Huck is what pros use on glass, the cost of true “no lint” cotton is too high for the volume of rag a detail shop needs and will begin to lint eventually.
Plain, dry newspaper will remove it. If it's really bad, you may need to spray on a cleaner first, but plain paper works for maintenance. I have a car with a leather dash and I still get a bit of the hazing, the plastic dashes are just a bit worse, especially if parked in the sun a lot.
Water spots require a bit more work.
I only use rag company’s microfiber towels. The waffle towel does the job perfectly.
Are u properly washing them with the right soap and not using a dryer to dry them? air dry or extremely low heat prevents them from pilling and then starting to scratch the car
