Love it! My two alignment shops are down in Ft. Myers. One has to be rebuilt, the other on generator power only and really backed up. So I went to a place where I had to be specific what I wanted and copied @razorlab specs on his build page (also having SPL parts and lowered). So it won’t be exactly perfect for my car but at least I can use razorlabs
 Thank you bro!

I am in Ft Myers! What are your preferred shops? I know you said they aren't fully recovered due to the storm, but I would like to keep them in mind for when my alignment is needed.

D&A Automotive at 8413 Littleton Rd, for an alignment. Ask for Darryl (per my mechanic). He works with and familiar with lots of race applications. My mechanic Ricky at Fuji-San automotive is phenomenal for everything else in Ft. Myers. He is a perfectionist, like Darryl.

*(update - Darryl is the real deal! Dude knew how to adjust everything with the SPL parts, took his time, cheaper than BMW, way more knowledgeable!!!!)*

Hey guys,
Any recommended specs for a stock car? I plan on tracking it for hpde courses, but am a little concerned about reports of how “twitchy” the rear end is.

It’s only “twitchy” if you apply too much throttle. If a car is underpowered you won’t have this problem at all. Hence the Supra is part of these potentially loose end “twitchy” vehicles. Do the HPDE for sure! In the beginning, only apply consistent throttle while in a corner. You’ll do all your braking prior to the turn and enter the apex (corner) with a nice easy throttle application. So you won’t have to worry about this at all. When you come out of a corner, never floor it. Apply the throttle with smooth modulation. And enjoy! The more you do (seat time, practice) the more you’ll appreciate the bit of wiggle you’re able to produce and counter steer you’re way out of it. It‘s a blast dude!

Almost forgot, get the stock alignment. You don’t need a track alignment unless you start doing this a lot.

Thanks so much for this info! I’ve heard that so many supras came out of the factory with less than ideal Alignment, or somehow got messed up during shipping. Are these reports blown out of proportion?

No. You are right. I would get a spec alignment for sure. After transport it can definitely be off. The spec alignment will be fine for those stock wheels and tires on your 1st track day. If you really enjoy the track, you will probably want to get camber plates or adjustable control arms at a later date. :)

Off topic: I’m still shocked Toyota pays for a track day, puts DOT4 brake fluid in the car, and decent brake pads (hence increase dust). That was a huge draw for me to this car. I was looking at a new Vette and they wanted so much markup. Saw the helmet on the Toyota advertising page and the free track day and was like, say what!!!!! LOL
