I like BMW’s more than Toyota’s by far but I love my A80 that I have owned for 20 years. I am disappointed that the A90 is not a true Toyota but I am over it and will still be interested if it’s a fun car. I just changed my perspective on what this car means to me.
What I am trying to do (and failing at it) is to keep information on point. Before I joined this site I read a lot of rumors being passed around as facts. It was a waste of my time, so when I see comments being made with no basis to it I say something, hopefully I can save the next guy reading it some disappointment later on.
There is a lot of wishful thinking around here, i’ll Be the voice of reason for now and if I am proven wrong at the end i’ll Be the happiest camper here.
Back to the topic.
A post was made pointing out a comment that says BMW designed the A90 per Toyota’s request which is to be assumed the same as the Z4 (why would bmw change it later?) and let’s hope that Toyota took the Z4 and made enough changes mechanically to truly separate the two cars from one another and not just looks wise. The main thing we do know now is that BMW designed (mechanically) the A90 initially and gave it to Toyota to do as they wish from the sound of it. I really hope that is true as it sounds that maybe Toyota’s hands are not as tied as I thought. Time will tell.
