I swapped back to OEM black leather seats from red and previous owner had Jean mark transfer on the black.

used sonax leather cleaner with no issues. Foam’d on and used the sonax brush, agitated it, wiped off and all gone. Then I coated the seats with CarPro Leather 2.0

I've been detailing for over 20 years and the best thing I've come across to clean leather is Meguires D101, about an 80/20 water/product ratio. I use a good leather brush, like you would use on suede shoes.
All modern manufactured car leather has a clearcoat on it. Even the really high-end cars do. It won't hurt anything to scrub it with a brush using the D101. Wipe it clean with a wet towel and then put whatever pop on top you like. The pop on top is just rejuvenating the clear coat.
