Hi

It's Mike longtime Lexus Owner/Vossen Guy.... I might have a cool opportunity for some Supra Owners for a meet in Charlotte. If you could email me at [email protected] or DM me here that would be cool.

I hope this doesn't break any rules. I'm friends with Tada-San and am really excited for the A90!

I've been asking around since I got the request for this and received a few names, but it seems as though that particular area is fairly dry. I tried ATL as well...

Hopefully some folks on here can provide some good suggestions though.

I'm in Atlanta... Back in the day it was pretty deep, I remember hosting a meet and 30 MKIV's showed up.... Looking even for MK1/2/3 as well....

Thanks!

Not really, but times change based on area just like anything (mkiv are certainly more rare based on production numbers though).

The majority of Supras are in FL, TX, and CA and always have been, but there are quite a few up in the Pacific NW and there are some scattered up the East Coast and in the midwest too.

... Are supras very rare in the us?

/Excuse the Australian
I think so, only 11,800 MKIVs were made for the US market, LHD. Compared to JDM RHD that got around 32k, and Europe had 1,600 RHD/LHD.

Of that 11,800 USA Supras, 7,100 were Turbo, the others N/A. Of the Turbos, 3,000 were Auto and 4,100 were 6 speed. With 25 years of age, I'm sure the amount of stolen, crashed, parted out cars are somewhere around 20-25% of the original total. So I think around 75% have survived but mostly in garages these days.

When you compare 11,800 supras for USA population of around 330 Million people, its alot rarer than Japans 130 Million Population that got 32k Supras

If the mkiv was the only Supra... but it's not :)

There were 240,000 A70s made, of which ~110,000 were sold in the USA.

So, as I said Supras are not rare, but mkivs are fairly rare.

Good point, MK2 are pretty rare around here these days. MK3s as well, but I think that has to do with where we live and they were not as well received early on to save enough of them

For sure. I also think you brought up a few good points in that once we start getting a little more specific by model, trim, options, we start to see a different story especially based on where you live as said.

(OT, but deadline for the list is already passed so...)

You might be able to convince some FL Supra guys to trailer their cars up there if it's for juicy details on the MKV :hmm::love:. Hell, I would if I wasnt currently working in Alaska :(
