Found this explanation in our group.Hey there! It's been 6 lovely months with my car and I've been enjoying the hell out of it. The speed warning when going over 120 is killing me though. Does anyone know of a way to code it out?
Thanks!
Trust me it is dealing with the loud BMW PING every time you go over 120km.Oh wow, I didnt know that. That sounds annoying.
nah not really cuz your only messing with the code that already exists. I have disabled a bunch of stuff auto start/stop included. I added to where my car always starts in sport, and I added sport plus. you're fine. But just in case make sure that it doesn't as I'm not from the U.SWhile we talking about bimmer code, if you just got the car and change things through the program like disabling auto start/stop does that void your warranty?
Bimmer code changes thing in the ecu? I know with a real tune not a piggyback they can see the ecu has been changed so would they see the ecu has been altered with bimmer code as well?nah not really cuz your only messing with the code that already exists. No, Bimmercode only changes preferences in BCM.Bimmer code changes thing in the ecu? I know with a real tune not a piggyback they can see the ecu has been changed so would they see the ecu has been altered with bimmer code as well?
I have mine set at 100mph since CA cops will impound your car if you are caught going triple digits...I leave mine on since she is my daily. I just ignore it when I'm fucking aroung.Does anybody else use the speed warning? I kind of like it. I have it set to 90. Sometimes it will go off and I’m like “whoa, need to slow down a bit” other times it will go off and I’m like “damn right”
I did just look up 120km/h and see that is only 74 freedumb units per hour. That would get annoying very quickly
Thank you for this! It worked perfectlyFound this explanation in our group.
1. connect to the MHD adaptor. 2. open Bimmercode 3. select MHD adaptor from the settings 4. pick BMW Z4 (supra does not have the ECU) 5. select "instrument cluster" 6. enable expert mode (toggle at the top) 7. select "warnung_geschw_limit" 8. change to nicht_activ 9. click save 10. click back (at the top) 11. click code. you will see some errors (this happens as its restarting the ECU). 12. disconnect. -> no more 120kph nonsense.
Glad it did.Thank you for this! It worked perfectly
