It’s a legit streethunter wing with a silly little certification that came with it. It cost $800 to color match the stanchions, and another $600 to wrap them in vinyl. I also didn’t want to drill into my own trunk, so I paid a body shop $400 to do it for me. And I broke the middle section once so that cost me an extra $750.
My God that is a lot of money spent on just a wing!!!

me toooooooooooooooo
all the turbo diesel noises!
How is the switch??? I live in New Jersey so I have inspections but not for a few year's, is it worth it??? How much louder and more importantly how bad is the gas smell driving in the car and I'm guessing you really can't feel any difference in power??

No denying though the sound of catless is much better.

Looking more for gas smell and how loud?? Everyone says you lose the nice deep tone and get a tinny, raspy sound.
Ever been behind a muscle car on the road? That's how it's going to smell. Most people probably won't notice, and as the driver you'll likely never notice, but Mr. Law Man might and that's the problem.

I went catless on my STi years ago. The sound and power gain were noticable, but the first time I went to a National Park I felt like a complete asshole. I ended up selling the catless DP and buying a catted in the long run. YMMV and all that.

i'll dissect your questions:

yes, power gain is obviously noticeable. per my tuner, 40whp/80wtq gain with a catless DP (talking about an E50 tune). so with AA DP, let's just throw a reasonable number, like 10whp/20wtq gain.

it's not necessarily louder, it growls more? there's more oomph? pops and burbles are insane, not my thing, but might be yours

SO THE SMELL PART: it's not that bad lol. for some reason in this car, the catless smell isn't as bad as i've experienced in other cars. it doesn't smell nearly as much or as bad. didn't take me an adjustment period, it was automatic. could also be because i expected it so i'm not disturbed

again, yes, you can 1000% feel difference in power. to repeat, i have the MAD Fat Boy 5" Catless DP. it's supposed to be deeper sounding than the 4.5", which it kinda is.. growls more deeper? i guess

also, you can hit "quote" on the bottom right of posts to do a single post with multiple quotes, or the mention (@) function to tag several people :)

correct, which is why i opted for 5" instead of 4.5". i'm satisfied. doesn't sound tinny, only on cold start, but if you're tuned, cold start is removed anyway

edit: updated wording for clarity. my fault

Do you recommend the switch??? How much louder, how bad is the gas smell, and I'm guessing only about 10hp gain??
With my HKS exhaust being one of the quieter ones paired with the catless, I would say it is a louder but not nearly as loud as other exhaust with catless DP. Honestly I haven’t even noticed too much of the smell. Going to get a re tune from Jesse today along with some water/meth so I’ll let you know how much the butt dyno reads.

Just so you're aware, methanol will make your exhaust smell awful and is more likely to draw the attention of law enforcement than just going catless.
