Hello everybody, I am new here. I should be getting my Supra this month sometime. It hit U.S port on 9/6. I will be getting a couple mods but nothing major. Looking for advice on things to buy. My list is this: Catted Down pipe, CAI, (don’t want the annoying stuttering sound) Spacers, Springs or Coilovers, (don’t know what’s better). And maybe get the ECU unlocked. I am looking to add a bit more power but not looking for 600+ WHP. Your guys advice on the best product from each category would be greatly appreciated. I know nothing mechanically so I will be going through a local performance shop. Thank you for any feedback.

AA catted downpipe
Injen intake is popular
Coilovers are lot better but more expensive, Kw V3.

Not taking anything away from your plans, but I recommend driving the car stock for a little while to see where it's 'good enough' and what aspects you want to upgrade. It's going to depend a lot on your goals for the car.

Yeah it will stay stock for at least the first 1200 miles. Hopefully by then I will know what to get. Thank you for that! Getting PPF and Tint within the first couple days. What is the best PPF? I heard Stealth + a Ceramic coat on top?

Those you mentioned are they Springs? Coilovers are better for track use? I will not be tracking the car. I will look at your suggestions. Thank you.

No on the ECU unlock? May I ask why you think that?

I will soon thank you. I won’t be installing them my Local shop will. Would I buy the parts and take it to them or be buying from them?

Springs are okay then if you don't want to track.

Yes a lot of people just buy parts and take it to the shop for install.

Thank you. Would that be a better and or cheaper way to go? Sorry, first time doing any of this.

i said no to unlocking the ECU because you should experience and get used to the car first. you don't want to overwhelm yourself with a new car, new parts, and added power. imo. and i would advise to create a thread asking for shop recommendations in your city/region. even if a shop has 5 stars on google, it doesn't guarantee a job well done :drive:

for the springs, it's personal taste. use the forum search function to research how they each look and people's personal opinions. if you enjoy their opinion(s), then you've found your choice :)

Ok that makes sense. I will post a thread on a local shop. Thank you for your feedback!

Re: PPF Get something top notch like Suntek Reaction Pro - it's already ceramic infused there's no need for the old fashioned 'ceramic coating on top' faffing about, the top brands already make it ready out the box. I have it on mine and can confirm after 10 months, with just some regular top up using meguiars ceramic spray, it's still very smoothe.

For CAI - I don't have one, but there's A LOT of threads and useful info on this forum.

General consensus seems to be:

MORE SOUND:
MST
ARMASPEED

LOOKS/QUALITY/FIT (+money)
EVOLVE CF
HKS

If I got a non-2020 Supra today, I would probably change the catback, get spacers for the factory wheels (only if they look retarded without), and a JB4.

The rest like decoration pieces, it's really up to you.

I don't think CAI is worth the trouble unless you want something special like an Eventuri just for the pretty looks.
