I live in the snow belt, and the roads are covered in salt all winter long. My wife drives a 2020 Range Rover, and I have a truck (1993 Dakota single cab short box), but It is in showroom condition, so It doesn't get driven in the winter either. I jus need something to drive as a daily. "Grocery getter"
I drive a 2019 WRX Limited as my dd with mild Stage1 mods. It’s a great car.. the trunk is actually quite big too for your grocery things. I also own the same gen (pre-refresh) STI. Fun car as hell..

how about some details? what did you like about it exactly
It's a hatch so utility is great
You can carry 5 people and or set of 4 wheels
I once put a Walmart giant gun safe in the back and 2 extra passengers
It gets 32+mpg and is quite sporty
Handles great for a FWD car
Under 30k NEW with a slick DSG if you don't want to shift
Insurance premiums are cheap as it's a 5 door
With just a few mods you can have a 30 mpg hothatch that's comfortable for long road trips and 300+ whp and 3100 lbs
Hard to beat IMHO

That all sounds good. What about reliability and maintenance costs

GTA - having had an 85 and 88 T/A w/ WS6 pkg, I really miss the platform/experience. The GTA and later Ram Air T/A still are on my list.

Still love my MX5 as a daily. The light weight handling is a hard find on any modern day car. Throw it into corners and you’ll grin every time. Granted I’m in Florida and use it for short commutes or occasional track days.

I'm going to look at two Miata RF's on Wednesday. If all goes well, it should be in my driveway by next week. I have to buy the hard top because of the winter months. I'm 6'1" and it's a tight fit.

Do you already own a 2023 BRZ per your details under your handle? If so you're a rock star with Supra, BRZ, and maybe MX5! :headbang:

I have a deposit on a 2023 BRZ, but I might back out of the deal, and get a Miata. I love the looks of the RF Miata.

Good luck on getting a brz/frs. I had a deposit in for 5 months and still wasn't even close to getting one. So I pulled out. Should have done that 4 years ago, oh wait, different situation.

I have a 2022 GR86 Premium M/T. Its my daily driver, and I love it. The road noise is worst on the highway, but that’s what sound deadening is for. I live in CA so I don’t have to worry about the weather. Go look at gr86.org. Lots of owners in snowy weather in both US and Canada.

I considered that but its so tiny and not a lot of storage. At least with the BRZ/GR86, you can fold the back seats down.
