I don't drive the Super in the winter. I have a truck as well, but it's 30 years old with 30,000 original miles, never driven in bad weather. I just need a daily to beat on in all types of weather. My choices for a daily are all over the map. The Lexus IS a nice ride, but it's the most expensive out of the bunch, and the most boring to drive. No seriously. Are you replacing the Supra because it's not DD for you? Or you're not happy with it??
Your list is all over the place.. you want speed? You want big block? You want lightweight nible low power.... I'm confused..
Just saw a Viper driving home and it's got everything you want
Anyhow why no S2k hardtop?
Also, you're in Ontario.. you want DD all season? AWD?
How is the road noise with the BRZ? When I test drove one, I didn't go on a major highway.I'm probably biased, but I would say BRZ. I've used a 2013 BRZ for daily duty and recently got the 2022 BRZ. It's small, but can take some longer things if needed with the trunk down(like 5ft long). It's fun and you don't need too much speed to enjoy it.
I'm not overly concerned about fuel costs. I don't have a commute to work, so almost all of my driving is leisure, or doing errands. So is that a yes or no?
Lexus, reliable and comfortableI'm not overly concerned about fuel costs. I don't have a commute to work, so almost all of my driving is leisure, or doing errands.
Out of those, I'd get the BRZ in 6M. If you're okay with AT, I'd also consider the IS300 (the current new body design). Here's the short list
1) 2022 Mustang GT 6m
2) 2023 Subaru BRZ 6m (have a deposit down, but might back out)
3) 2021 Lexus IS 300 awd
4) 2010 Nissan 370Z 6m
5) 2017 Mazda MX5 hardtop 6m
6) 1987 Trans Am GTA automatic (Showroom condition)
Yet again I would choose the trans am if it’s in the condition it’s in. I wouldn’t mind a daily that needs a little bit more work if it was a trans am. Live your life unabatedTrans Am, without question.
I had a 2009 6mt 370z, and It's one of the only cars I would buy again. I miss that thing, and my wife liked driving it as well. I took a Lexus IS300 for an extended test drive, and wow! Is that thing ever quiet in the cabin.Out of those, I'd get the BRZ in 6M. If you're okay with AT, I'd also consider the IS300 (the current new body design).
370Z's are kind of junky especially with all sorts of popular issues on that car.. unless you like used and spent old whores for some reason..

I think I'm going to chat with the owner again. It's going to be interesting to drive in the winter. It's got 60,000kms (35.000miles)You'd be an idiot to go with any of the shitty newer cars over the trans am. That thing is just fucking beautiful.
I have a 1998 Toyota Sienna as my Daily/Winter carHere's the short list
