And the bastard can't even do that correctly. He is such a disgrace, seriously
Fully agree. He lacks any clear talent after 6+ years now. The team deserves better and so do the investors Stroll Sr lured into this farce. If they were literally serious about success he is the first thing you change. Lance - out/fired. He is rumored to make in the area of 18mil per year $$.

Carlos admitted he knew Lando’s pace pretty well and as soon as Mercedes pitted, he and Lando were both thinking the same thing. He went on to say, had he not paced himself, that the Mercedes would have overtaken Lando and he’d be next. He spoke as if it would have been inevitable. So he said naturally he dropped back to give Lando the DRS advantage to fight off the Mercs. I loved it! Absolutely brilliant! He came across as it was survival, pure instinct. CarLando!! The synergy was beautiful. More respect for him now. Just in that interview alone.

Now had Hamilton been ahead of Russel, the outcome might have been different. His experience and skill is up there with Max. So in my humble opinion, I think him and Max can chew through packs of drivers much easier than George can. Was anyone else watching/thinking George is going to overdrive his car? Pull a Lance (I know, I know, he’s not that bad)? But the wife said it to me 1st. Max was starting to do his thang as the race went on. So was Lewis. You could feel they were in their element. Both of those guys are something to watch ? George will get there someday, perhaps. So love em or hate em, Max and Lewis are on another level. Norris is next imo. That kid is coming along incredibly. Calm, smooth, making adjustments when things go wrong, not wrecking ?

Can’t wait to see who will be next to move up in the ranks of elite/pinnacle drivers: Hamilton & Verstappen ?
I think you may be forgetting Alonso in the drivers at the peak of the sport. But I do agree that Lando is on the rise. Who can I see being the next generation, I have to say that Oscar has driven the heck out of that McLaren for a rookie. He's going to have a LOOONG career if he can keep that up.

Talking about Carlos and Lando, do you find it strange that you rarely, if ever, see a similar amount of team work (successful team work at least) when it's Carlos and Charles? I feel like there have been numerous times where it would be beneficial to the leading Ferrari to back off a bit and give the teammate behind the DRS, but rarely do they ever do that. Typically they pass one another and try to get as far down the road regardless of what is beneficial to the teammate behind. Also, I think Ferrari should start to think about switching their biased to Charles to Carlos as he has been the better driver this season.

If Lance Stroll does indeed retire, I hope one of two things happen, either they go the HAAS route with two experienced drivers (I'm thinking Danny Ric or maybe even bringing back Seb) or go the McLaren way and pair Alonso with a young up and coming driver (Lawson or Yuki if either is looking for a new seat). That would finally give Alonso either a teammate he can help mold and grow, or one that can compete with him. Right now he just has the bosses son to deal with, I don't think there is any more growth to expect out of Lance and had Alonso had a better teammate they would likely have second in the constructors almost out of reach from others.

If either Ricciardo or Lawson don't get a seat next year, AM should definitely consider the swoop. I'm also hearing rumors Lawson is being eyed for Sargent's seat if he doesn't get the AT seat.

There's no way Red Bull will let Lawson go to a Mercedes powered team lol.

I think we can agree that Danny Ric, Lawson, and Yuki deserve spots on the grid. I don't think Sargent or Lance Stroll should continue. Where they land, to me I think the best seat should likely go to Danny Ric, if that means Aston Martin, so be it.

I keep reading about how Daniel Ricciardo deserves a seat somewhere. Am I remembering his career differently than others? I don't remember him doing all that well.

I think a lot of people like him for his personality, he did have a very strong career in my opinion but right now with only 20 seats available (we could use 2 more teams) he might be out, however I’m hearing that AT is sticking with Yuki and Danial, which leaves Lawson out, who just might be better than the 2 drivers in front of him?!?!
Crazy huh?

He was good with RB and Renault back when Ferrari and Merc were top 2, but struggled with McLaren during the COVID years.

In about 12yrs he won about eight times and had a best of 3rd place in drivers championship, I believe. He won about once per year. I guess that's pretty good.

Watch a replay of his win in Monaco. Daniel was known as the "last of the late brakers" due to his finesse and feel with the car that let him out-brake opponents and gain positions in non-traditional passing areas.

He left Redbull because the writing was on the wall that he would always be #2 to Max. I think the design and driving style of these newer cars has moved away from his skillset, which means he doesn't gain the advantage he once did. He has also spent a few years in mid-pack teams like Renault and McLaren. Hard to win races without a race winning car.

He's fantastic for the PR of the sport. I love guys like him and Kimmi and Seb and now Lando. They're all great ambassadors. If only Guenther Steiner could drive...

I guess. I'm just basing my observations on his results. He did do *better* with RB. But still...
I like Lando a lot. I hope he does well. I miss Seb.
