Awesome to see Max back. Expected. Seeing Norris 2nd makes me really happy. He cracks me up with the "coming for Red Bull" and "We're not miles behind" comments LOL. No, you aren't and yes, you are. 19sec. And I'm sure he was taking it easy on ya ?

Can’t believe that I have to defend Perez but here we go. Last year at this time he had 210 points, this year he has 223. The only reason people are saying he sucks is because you are comparing him to Max. He is not Lance Stroll, and he is not Max or any of the other top drivers. But he is as deserving as any mid pack driver in F1.

As an F1 driver, your only direct competition is your teammate. They're the only one in the same car. Sucks for Cheko. Sucked for Bottas. Sucks for Stroll.

Max is having an incredible season in a dominant car. Lewis is still showing he's a top talent, but the Mercedes is behind RB and even McLaren right now. The fact George is keeping up with Lewis shows how good he is.

I feel like F1 points reward flashes of brilliance more than consistency, but to be at the top you need both. Cheko has had more 'brilliant' results this year - possibly due to the dominance of the RB19 - but he hasn't been consistent and that's why he's getting flak. This weekend was especially bad and F1 fans don't remember anything past the most recent race.

Unfortunately you can’t manage a team on past performance. Perez was absolutely horrid. Was he sick, drunk the night before, on medication? He better have a good excuse. Because I was worried if they put him back out there, he’d crash into Max! Who was next on his sloppy driving radar? Lance looked better than Perez ? My wife is a Checo fan. But even she was asking what happened to him???

Back to something positive, Max was brilliant as usual. I’m glad they are slowly giving him the credit he deserves. Love the pair of McLarens. Those guys were incredible! The Mercedes boys look frustrated, rightly so. Ferrari, consistent enough to be where they are. Alonzo, held back by a lackluster teammate. And that’s where Perez is. He is not an asset to Red Bull. The need to move that kid w/out a contract up ASAP. He could fill in better than Perez. I’m sure Christian will have Checo under a microscope going forward. As he should! That was so bad… disgrace for RB. Max deserves better.

The number 2 seat at Red Bull has always been a tough place to be. Whoever gets in the car as a number 2 driver will have similar results. If you look through their history you’ll see about the same thing has happened with several drivers.

I read Mark Webber’s book and in it he stated that Helmet Marko confided in him that he would prefer a one car team but has to have a second car as the FIA mandates. So the worse thing to do is to put a young driver there, maybe Danny Ric is the best choice as he knows his place and will act accordingly, but I think that’s whatRB was hoping for with Perez.

In my opinion RB was grooming D Ric to take over for Vettle as their new number one, but they treated Webber similar to how they treat their current number 2 guy. Granted he wasn’t as fast as Vettle, but it is what it is I guess.
This way of managing your drivers works out great for Red Bull, they have a ton of championships and a lot of success, so it’s hard to criticize them. But they are a one car team.

I don’t disagree with the idea that you are compared to your teammate, but you forgot that one of the other big comparison is from your previous season. Checo is ahead of where he was last year and a place higher than he finished.

I don’t think it’s fair to just compare a teammate to a possible GOAT. I don’t think he is nearly as bad as people think, but I do think he is no where close to Max’s level. But how many teams have had two Max’s, or two Lewis, etc, etc. The only ones that I can think of was Nico and Lewis a few years ago, and Lewis and Alonso even further back. I’m sure there are a few other examples, but they aren’t common is my point.

Nonsense. Ricciardo left because by the 2nd season it started to dawn on him, that the accident prone rookie was growing up, and growing much, much faster, which he proved in their 3rd season by utterly destroying him, as he has done every teammate since. You people just can't stand to give Max his credit and pile it all on team pressures, cheating, unequal equipment and treatment, and the simple truth is, Max is just better.
