Hi guys, I've recently finished a small 6 hour drive in CA and overfilled my fuel tank once... Just to squeeze some more miles.
I think I may have a problem because it smells super strong of fuel inside and outside the cabin, more than normal. I've been catless for a few months and I occasionally get the normal fuel smell but never super strong inside the cabin. This time I immediately smelled it very strong inside the cabin halfway thru the drive. This morning after letting the car rest in the garage I still smelled the fuel smell inside the cabin and my whole garage smelled strong of fuel.

There are no leaks, I've never had this problem before. I'm a 2020 with a catless dp and awe exhaust. Not tuned. I saw another post on the forums about some vapor canister leakage maybe??? But I'm just writing this to see if anyone knows what the possible problem is and if it is an expensive solution? Thanks guys.

Did you get a CEL? Did you check for codes? Have a fire extinguisher handy. My guess, probably an EVAP system issue. As you speculated, it could be a EVAP system charcoal canister may be flooded out.

There should be zero fuel smells especially inside the cabin. There is no "normal" fuel smells inside the cabin of any car or externally for that matter on a modern vehicle. In other words " normal" means zero fuel odour in the cabin. As suggested it may be a flooded charcoal canister. It's never a good idea to try and squeeze every last drop into the tank.

I overfilled my tank BADLY once. Filling up my tank, left the nozzle going and went into the station for a drink. Came back out and the auto-stop on the nozzle failed and fuel was pouring down the side of my car. I spent the next few hours driving off the extra fuel to bring the level down and never once got a fuel smell.

Thanks for the replies guys, the problem was one of my plastic fuel tubes under the hood broke slightly so fuel was getting sprayed out slowly. There was an old flex fuel kit from the previous owner. It's fixed now with a new tube for like $12.
That sounds dangerous. Fuel leaking under pressure under the hood is never good.

Those visconti flex tubes are deadly. Not sure why anyone would use those in their engine bay.
